ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

The end got cut off because it was too long to send to my computer, but I'm sure you'll survive. also I did no draft and I get stage-fright even with my voice apparently and forget how to speak/what I'm saying. xD And I can hardly recognise myself! but Lyss will tell me if I sound like me, so ask her. xD

I Won't Hesitate

Ironic title is ironic. I've been meaning to post this for a while now... but just haven't gotten around to it.

Pairing: Yesung/Taemin
Rating: PG? maybe G
Word count: 90

It’s a casual thing, the way his hands slip around Taemin’s torso. They rest gently first where hips meet stomach, restlessly shifting to clench together above the solar plexus. When tired of that they fiddle with the fringe to his Juliette shirt - threads fingers through it. Taemin tries to ignore it. He's seen his hyung affectionately nuzzling up to many people before - he knows Yesung is innately tactile. It doesn't mean anything but Taemin lets those warm gentle hands card through the fringe on his chest with a swelled heart.
First off, happy things! ♥ ♥ ♥ Happy Birthday Kim Ryeowook! ♥ ♥ ♥

Next, things that need to be addressed in order to make this world a better place. :( Racism is bad. it is cruel and hurtful and ridiculous. Thus our media should be spreading the message of openness and equal-mindedness and sharing, not promoting dissent and subconcious (or otherwise) marginalisation! Go here to find out a little more about this disgusting display of white dominance.

Okay, now off to appreciate Ryeowookie and cheer myself up. :|

Eunhyuk's Birthday Present

A day late, yeah, but oh well. It took a lot longer than I expected... Probably 8 or so hours to draw/ink then 2-3 hours in photoshop... still learning the ropes there... BUT overall I am happy with it, so. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANCHOVY~

:/ And here is my contribution to the Beast/B2st fandom.

Title: Time Changes
Author: mayawelstead
Pairing: Junhyung/Hyunseung and G-Dragon/Hyunseung
Rating: R/NC-17
Word Count: 1830
Note: Prompt by lackofsound . She told me: "Hyunseung/Junhyung. Plus GD. HS's old lover and his new one! :D" and somehow it ends up 1830 words when I was trying to drabble. Enjoy!

<i>"Hyunseung can't remember when things changed."</i>Collapse )

Well Alyssa gave me two prompts for the 10 sentences meme, one of which I did on her journal and one that I'm going to cheer her up with today :D I'll post both here. If I can figure out how, stupid lj. EDIT: I really tried to cut it but LJ hates me, so sorry D:

Queerics Comp.

So. I've been urged to enter this competition (http://chesh.lmfao.org.uk/queerics/giveaway.shtml) for a heap of cool/awesome/queer things! So I am!

And to do so I have to answer one of the questions on the above site. I chose:

Which queer artist have you been listening to for the longest? How'd you discover them?

That would be Savage Garden because my Mum/Daniel listened to them all the time when I was little. I had to have been maybe... 8 or 9? The thing is, I never realised until I rediscovered them about 5 or 6 years ago that the lead singer was actually male ^.^" Lol.

And because I can, I want to answer this one too:

What band or musician do you most wish was queer?

DEFINITELY KAT-TUN!!! Because the entire band is in love with each other, obviously. They just need to be taught exactly what kind of love it is. And have massive public orgies for the sake of humanity :D

Okay. Is that all I have to do, cheshcan?

homophobia is wrong

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.

Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it
